Recipe – Vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese

Vegetarian Spaghetti

Camping is a great family holiday and as I have mentioned recently we have taken our children camping several times. One of the things I love about camping is the cooking, it’s a challenge to cook a meal for the family on a two ring gas stove and it’s really fun cooking outside.

I often cook Spaghetti Bolognese as its easy to make on a little camping stove and the whole family likes pasta. Here is my recipe;

  • Spaghetti
  • Tin tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Red or yellow pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • Quorn mince
  • Tomato puree 2 tbs
  • Mixed herbs
  • Marmite
  • Salt and pepper

  • Chop the onion, garlic and pepper into small pieces and gently fry with the mixed herbs until soft but not coloured.
  • Add the mince, tin of tomato, tomato puree, marmite and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer gently for 20 mins.
  • Cook the spaghetti.
  • Serve and enjoy.
