Purple Ella about me
Find joy in the small things
Purple Ella (originally Purple Mum), created in the summer of 2011, is a family lifestyle blog. Here you will find editorial, lifestyle tips, and posts about my life. I hope you enjoy reading my online magazine as much as love creating it.
Meet the family;
I’m Ella, inimitable lover of all things purple. After a childhood passion for dancing it was during my contemporary dance BA that I discovered circus skills. So I went to circus school and ran a performance company with Mr Purple for five years.
Then along came my babies and I decided to stay at home to raise them. I’ve been doing this, alongside blogging for the last nine years.
I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with close friends and sharing good food. I’m also a fan of snuggling up on my purple sofa watching TV.
Writing is my biggest passion, closely followed by reading. One day I hope to write a novel of my own.
Mr Purple, electrician extraordinaire (and Time Lord in his spare time). Hard working, and an absolutely brilliant Dad to the Purple children. He’s green fingered, pottering around the garden in any spare chance he has. He loves all things Tolkien and enjoys watching nature documentaries.
When we first met and I asked him what his ambition in life was, he told me he just wanted to be happy. He is definitely a man of simple pleasures.
Super Kid, aged eight. He loves science, video games, lego and dancing. Serious and playful in equal measure, and often found curled up with a book.
Robo Boy, aged six. He loves Minecraft, photography,drawing, and his friends. Passionate, and very caring he’s the peacekeeper of the family. His hugs are legendary and given a chance he would never stop talking.
Wonder girl, aged four. She loves all things girly. She likes to dress up in her favourite princess dress, team it with plenty of multicoloured plastic jewellery, and sing and dance around the living room. Funny, quirky and bright as a button, she adores her brothers and likes getting her own way.
