Kid’s Cinema

Recently we discovered that our local cinema offers showings of children's films on weekend mornings for only £1.50 per ticket. Since it would normally cost us over £40 to all go to the cinema this is an absolute bargain. The other (less obvious) advantage to the cheap kid's showings is that the cinema is full of the worlds worst cinema attendees. Yes I'm talking about children, not generally Read More.

A Very Purple Holiday – Part One Bridlington

I am back from my jaunt up North. It was a mixed holiday, there was fun, food, and puke. Essential ingredients of every family holiday, right? No? Just ours then. Our first stop was Bridlington, home of my Father In Law, this was our annual family pilgrimage to visit him. Let me explain. The School Run

One minute I have an hour, so I dawdle a little. I check twitter, I leisurely make packed lunches and I stare out of my kitchen window (which looks onto a busy street) and people watch. "Time for school" I shout, desperately optimistic that this will be the morning that they dash down the stairs, put Read More.

Super Kid Starts Ballet Class.

Did I mention that I love dancing? Possibly not, it seems like a lifetime ago but once upon a time I was obsessed with it. I spent most of my teenage years attending dance lessons in every moment of my free time (beats drinking cider and throwing up which was the pastime of most of my peers). After which I went to university and did a degree in contemporary dance (I know, boy am I qualified). I Read More.
